East Coast Engagement Session
Lanier + Alex / 4.24.2020
Lanier and Alex’s engagement session was the first photoshoot I had after Georgia opened back up from the coronavirus, and gosh, you can tell each of us had been waiting for this. After having to cancel our session and rebook a few times, it’s safe to say I had so much creative juice that was ready to be unleashed and all three of us were super eager just to have human contact again.
In the days leading up to their engagement, we were going back and forth about where we should shoot at. We had so many options! Lanier was having a hard time deciding, so we went all out and split their engagement session up into two days. The first day was in an open field in Statesboro, and the next day we traveled an hour to Tybee Island. I am SO glad that we chose to do this because as you are about to see, both locations were straight magical and the sun really showed out for us.
These two are some of the easiest people to talk to. It’s obvious that we spent a lot of time together for a short weekend, and we never ran out of things to chat about. I loved getting to witness the dynamic of their relationship before they get married this November in Perry, Georgia. Alex is one of those guys that are a little bit more closed off and non-confrontational at first, but when he’s around Lanier his shell is broken completely.
I can’t wait to see these guys officially married in a few weeks! I have a feeling that their wedding is going to make all of the bad of 2020 wash away by how epic and joy-filled their wedding day is going to be.
