The moment that I fell in love
with this lifestyle
was because I saw an opportunity
where I could deeply connect with people,
limitlessly create,
and outpour meaningful work
—
all at once.
These are the things that I love and feel passionately about.

Hey friends! I’m Logan,
A Georgia Photographer who loves wedding, couples and portrait photography!

It’s an odd thing, writing about yourself. I’m way more comfortable when it comes to writing about my couples, seniors, and families — basically, anyone I come to call a friend. A salesperson would tell me that the point of this part is to sell myself and my personality to you, but that feels even more odd. I don’t want to sell myself, but I do want to know you. Since we’re getting to know each other over here, I’ll go first. Here’s the deal though, before we begin, I’m going to grab a cup of coffee, and I want you to go grab a cup of coffee. Lets both open up Spotify and turn on Vance Joy or Judah and the Lion for good background music. Now we’re in my comfort zone — my friend-talking-heart-to-heart zone.

I currently live about an hour southwest of Atlanta but was raised on the Florida/Georgia line in a small Gilmore Girl town called Thomasville. Here is where I learned the importance of community and to never be a stranger. My biggest obsession is probably my cutie boy husband, Cody. Although I love to travel, home is where he and our two furry sons, Judah and Braxton are. When I don’t have a wedding on a weekend, you can find us at Chick Fil A on Saturday morning, or at home doing yard work, and redoing something for the house during the day, then having friends over for a big game or movie night.

From a super young age, I used to love taking my dads camcorder and going around with my sisters making mini-documentaries. I have vivid memories of being in the backseat of a car and absolutely marveling at the lighting outside and how it made the world glow. Finally my parents bought me my first camera and the rest is history.
It would make a lot of sense to say I started this business because of my love for photography and videography. Although that makes up a large percentage of why I did, I actually started it because of my love for people. Ultimately, this passion is all due to Jesus’ outpouring of love for me. He is the purpose behind everything I do and my goal is to magnify His beauty and goodness in every opportunity.
If you’re down to chase where the light shines,
be quirky and genuine,
and are just as excited for the
“in-between” moments
as the planned ones
—
let’s talk!

Noah Lambert, an aerospace fanatic, fitness junkie, and insanely talented creative —
Woods and Whales is not a one-man show and it’s safe to say I wouldn’t function properly if it wasn’t for this guy.
Noah has been around since the very beginning of Woods and Whales and is my right-hand man when it comes to wedding days. Unless Noah is off lead shooting another wedding for Woods and Whales, he is there with me on your wedding day aiding me in documenting every step of it. We’re a weird combo, I know. Most people would assume that I would partner with my husband on wedding days (although Cody does join in occasionally when needed), or at least have a girlfriend join in on the fun, but I can’t imagine this business functioning any other way.

We were friends by association in college and it wasn’t until I had a wedding Sophomore year and needed an extra hand that I reached out to Noah (someone who I knew had a fancy drone so figured he must know a thing or two about working a camera), for help. Quickly after we realized that we both had strengths where the other had weaknesses we decided to build a legit business.
